Hi everyone
I have a problem on a Canon L3 that I received this week
I never had one like it before
I am trying to figure out how to get the slow speed dial completely off to remove the outer casing. I was successful in getting the slow speed chrome cap off. From that point I am scratching my head what to remove next. I can not find a service manual for any L model neither

I have a repair manual for a Canon VT. The slow speed dial removal should be the same. I'll scan the appropriate page and post later.

Thank you John for your quick help
A shame I did not stay up late last night to view this picture you sent
After studying the layout of the slow speed dial internal screw and nut I figured it out about 8 last night. The inner doughnut screw nut is a left hand thread I should mention

I was asked to scan a pic of the range/viewfinder page. Here it is:

I have a problem with removing the chrome cap of the slow speed dial, I've gotten the small grub screw off. but I have no idea how the cap is removed? The diagram Jim scanned seems to indicate that the small side screw holds the cap on? should it just pull off?
Cheers
Chris
