I have a Canon VT and found that attaching a Summicron or a Jupiter 12 caused rubbing on the ceiling of the optic chamber. The flanges of the collapsible Summicron certainly produced scratches on the roof of the internals of the Canon. From now on I shall use a Jupiter...no problems with these beauties

If you screw in the Summicron extended, it won't bang on the ribbing. Also, it will collapse OK, as it can only collapse with the lug not sticking up. (Unless the ball is missing.) It's only when you screw it in collapsed that it smashes into the ribbed baffle.

Same applies with Summitar.
