Canon lenses - are these RF lenses

Sean Reid reviewed a bunch of fast lenses for using on the Epson R-D1: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/lenses/fastlensreview.shtml
and among them are a handful of older Canon lenses: 35/1.5, 35/2.0, 50/1.2, 50/1.4, 50/1.8

Are these Canons RF or SLR lenses? Can old SLR lenses be adapted for RF cameras?

Yes these lenses are (old) Canon RF lenses. They have an L39 thread, but with an adapter they can be used on Leica-M mount cameras...
I have seen some adapted Canon SLR lenses-mostly 50mm 1:1,2-dont know who does this conversions

It appears from the photo in the article you've linked to that three of the four lenses in the foreground are Canon rf lenses.

Yes, Canon RF lenses. Generally affordable, and very decent quality. See Dante Stella's excellent write up at

On your 2nd questions, there are adapters for certain SLR mount to (say) Leica M, but but generally, you lose the rangefinder coupling. Personally, I wouldn't bother.
