I recently bought a Canon rangefinder, 538125 series. I think it's a VL-2 model. Although I'm not sure of the exact model. Can anyone know by the serial number, the exact model?

That number is within range of VL-2 according to Peter Dechert's book. Top speed shopuld be 1/500 and slow speed dial should split at 1/30
