Canon & Nikkor serial numbers

Somebody asked the serial number on my Nikkor lens. While I was at it I wrote them all down. Enlighten me, Serial Numer Sleuths!

Canon VI-T No. 604231

Canon VI-T No. 616XXX (It's in the shop & I don't have the whiole number)

Canon Lens 35mm f : 2.8 <EP> No. 24545

Nikkor-S.C 1 : 1.4 f = 5cm No. 395893

Canon Lens 135mm f : 3.5 No. 67574

Peter Kitchingman is the person you want to talk to about Canon serial numbers, but I'm not sure if his webiste is operating right now. Maybe somebody else can chime in.

Nikkor-S.C 1 : 1.4 f = 5cm No. 395893
the Nikkor-S was produced in great numbers, probably around 80,000 to 90,000 lenses were produced including many in the screw-mount.
Last serial number recorded seems to be in the 417xxx range so makes yours pretty late production...The last ones didn't have the C after Nikkor-S
