I just acquired a Canon P from a local seller for not too much. I'd like to get it CLA'd, but am not sure who to send it to.

Some people on the forum have recommended YYe, but he doesn't service these bodies anymore (I've emailed him asking). DAG quoted me $300 + return shipping, which feels very steep considering I spent (a lot) less for the camera (and his turnaround time is currently quite long). Oleg from OKVintageCamera is an option, but shipping internationally to Russia (quite slow from the states) is something I've never done before/am uncomfortable with.

Can someone recommend a reliable repair shop for a Canon P CLA job in the US? I'm located in California if that helps.

Thanks in advance.

Our bartender, Mr Gandy at CameraQuest had someone as a camera tech that does CLAs and repairs and he is in your sunny state of California, I believe.

Thanks, but he isn't taking on new repairs at the moment - due to the ongoing pandemic.

You might try contacting https://www.procamera.us They are located in Charlottesville, Virginia. They work on a wide range of cameras and lenses. I emailed them 2 weeks ago about cleaning a 1936 CZJ Olympia Sonnar, and they accepted the job. Some folks who have posted on RFF have stated that the company was more responsive to phone calls than email, but in my case the company responded the next day to my email

Youxin, if I remember correctly has eliminated cameras with a back door. Plus, he is extremely busy.
