I would prefer to keep constant with lens/body makes, but I'm not that flush with good lenses. I have recently been rationalising over 40 years of camera collecting, with the intention of whittling things down to no more than 4 RF bodies with a selection of lenses and one good digital SLR (sorry).

I do have a 50mm collapsible Elmar for the IIIf, but it is a pre-war uncoated one, so not contemporary with the 1952 body - not a major problem, except that it flares a bit too much with colour film. The Serenar looks OK and does give better results.

The P now has my Canon f1.4 50mm fitted and just looks "right". I know this to be a good lens as I have used it on various bodies over the past 10 years. This leaves a hole on my M2, which is to be filled by a collapsible Summicron, once the front element comes back from Arax. Temporarlily, I have a 35mm Summaron fitted with an L to M adapter.

The current orphan is my MP, which has no lens permanently attached - it used to be the 1.4 Canon. Guess I will just have to find a black paint f2 35mm Summilux to match it, just don't tell my wife what that will cost!
