Canon Pro 9500 printer error

Fellow Rangefinders,

I recently bought a new Canon Pro 9500 printer to take full advantage of all beautiful shots taken with my Leica M8.

However when I try to print I always get this message "Some PostScript specific print settings (Interpolation, Calibration, Encoding) will be ignored since you are printing to a non-PostScript printer."

I've attached the screen shot of the message and I would be eternally grateful if someone could help me explain why this occurs and what I need to do to fix it...

JRG, thank you so much for such a prompt response. It appears as though this warning message can be ignored...strange but I think I might have to check with Canon directly as well as I feel the printer output is not comparable to the actual photos that are taken...
