In short , in that morning , I went to 42street Time square , 14 street Union Square, and Aston PL (or 8 street NYU)

Ok, now I think I see where that was taken! Good one! Good trivia question.

It's definitely not Times Square, either BMT or IRT. Likewise, it's definitely not 14th, either BMT or IRT, and definitely not Astor (IRT).

That leaves 8th, which makes sense. It's a local station, express tracks right down the middle. I think that's it!

You took what we used to call the BMT, and I and the others were thinking IRT, and the two were actually once competing systems. That mosaic sign looked very typical to what IRT used in several of their stations, and actually there has been a movement to restore those signs to their original condition.

BMT did use a number of similar mosaic signs, with "Street" spelled out in quite a few of their stations.

I say mystery solved. Good one!
