Been wanting one of these, since it's an original accessory, but prices go from $499 to $199 online typically.

This one popped up at KEH for $59 (Bgn w/orig. case) so I grabbed it. And it works very well! Has parallax adjustment, fixed frames for 50mm & 85mm, and flip-in frames for 100mm and 135mm. Adjustable peepsight too. Niice!

Here it is on VT with 50mm F2.8, and the 85mm and 100mm popups folded-down. And the 50/85 aperture in the back opened up. Surprisingly accurate and quite useful for quick framing:

Many congrats, but secure it w/ a safety cord or you're gonna lose it and weep big time. I use thin elastic cord from a generic lens cap attached to the VF at one end and the split ring on the lug.

I lost a VC/ VF awhile back that was unsecured-ouch!

I have one of these as well, that I use on my Canon L1. Its a lot of fun, isn't it? I wonder how many were made?

Yes it is alot fun to play with Canon rangefinder gear, no doubt about it. And this viewfinder is no exception. But you know, it is also extremely precise to use, I am surprised. It fits perfectly on VT, but not as well on 7or 7S. I'm glad I have it, but then again, I wouldn't pay $200 for one.

I'd be interested to know how many were made, as well.
