Found another one in good shape. It just needed a new battery, and it works fine. I was a little leery after looking at the dents in the lens surround, but the zoom is not affected. Examples below were developed and scanned by CVS.

Just a little cropping to get the diagonal where I wanted it.

Canyon de Home Plate by br1078phot, on Flickr
After three years of drought, the new normal is torrential downpours.

Rained Out by br1078phot, on Flickr
Five photo stitch, utilizing Content Aware to fill in the upper and lower left corners.

Balck and Blue Swallowtail Butterfly by br1078phot, on Flickr
I brightened the back of the butterfly to bring out the blue, then added some overall contrast.

Valley Silo by br1078phot, on Flickr
Just a crop here. No pun intended.

Meadow In Sun with Pylon by br1078phot, on Flickr
Just a bit of exposure correction to try and get rid of the haze in the air.

Bristles by br1078phot, on Flickr
Ran the Smart Fix on this one, and it looked okay.

All Reaching For The Sky by br1078phot, on Flickr
Another Smart Fix example. It wasn’t much, but it did brighten things a bit.

nice find, seems to work well. i googled a pic of the camera and the flash on the side is interesting.

Thanks, dfatty. I shot another roll later that day, Kodak Ultra-Max 400, and I didn't like the results as much. Could just be the lab screwing up the saturation, but they looked awful. I'll be sticking with the slower speed stuff from now on.

I used one of these for a couple years and was always impressed by the sharpness of my prints - as yours clearly show.
Now they go for peanuts, for some reason not having the same prestige as other cameras with equally sharp lenses. I see them at thrift stores on a monthly basis.
My only complaint about this camera is that it doesn't actually shoot 120 film, as the name implies

Congrats on your Canon, I own one of these myself and I've always been impressed with the image quality on that particular model. I think (if I remember correctly) it has an aspherical element in the lens formula. Very high-quality camera, even if the body is a little plasticky.
