Canon TV Lens 50mm 0.95 on R-D1

Does anyone know if this lens will work on an RD-1 - I think it will fit but will I lose the rangefinder focusing? Thanks

it should work i tried a long while ago. there are samples from another member here using that lens to shoot concerts in brazil at night time. you can use your RF as normal but the rf base length is a bit short for it so achieve focus point is rather difficult.

The TV lens needs modifying to add R/F coupling, as well as conversion to M mount.

I already have the C mount adapter and can use it on my Sony Nex 5N but I did wonder if I might have to have it converted for Leica so now not sure if it worth the effort and best to probably use it on a Sony A7 for which I have an adapter.

unless you convert it to M mount you will NOT be able to focus it using the viewfinder. and focus is kinda critical with this lens.
