I had one of these with me in Sarajavo a few years back and was impressed with the image quality. Well I located a like new one at Good Will for a reasonable price [$14] and took it to London last June. Again I was impressed with the quality it produces. Anyone out there use these Canons and if so what's your impression.

Good to know it's capable of quality images. I have one, too, but haven't shot any film through it so far.
I just love its sporty style. Canon has done a very good job on this product design.

I just thought that underwater cameras had to have good lens - because of non-ideal conditions under water, or I'm wrong?

Man, that's one ugly camera. I guess all of the money went into the lens and waterproofing.

Curious, toy-like, maybe, but “ugly camera”? I beg to differ. As a graphic designer myself, I see plenty of designer's nice touch on this model.
Surely it is different from those fine classic cameras dressed in chrome & leather, but for a waterproof camera from the 90s, it’s got style and quality made for its specific purpose.

Who will appreciate stylish camera under water - fish? :)

I agree with daniel~ -- it has underwater look and isn't worse than other WP cameras. White is even kind of coll. While some are using only white lenses, here's chance to use white camera.

Well, as someone once said, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." I must admit it does turn heads when comes out for shots. Of course I'm not sure which side of the fence the onlookers on on - I guess it's safe to say that it belongs to one of these three catagories, The Good, The Bad and/or the Ugly!!!
