Canon 7 in black with the 35,,f2.0. The "flash" bracket is chrome - doesn't match - but then I rarely use it.
Leica M2, Visoflex III, V-Elmar 65f3.5. Old Agfapan 25, developed in Rodinal 1:100 stand development for 60 min.

Maybe it's me but I do not see the allure. Is there something special about this rig? I am willing to be enlightened.

The Canon 7 was the ultimate Canon rangefinder camera. If you get a look at the inside of one of these cameras, you can see they were built for serious use. The viewfinder/rangefinder was an arrangement of prisms and glass blocks, rather than the less expensive and less durable system of lenses and mirrors used in less expensive cameras. And the shutter in these cameras is nearly fail-proof. The built-in meter was also nearly a unique feature at the time, I think the Olympus Ace E was the only other interchangeable lens rangefinder at the time which also had a light meter.

And the Canon lenses are wonderful performers for their price. I like the big 50/.095, but the 50/1.2 is a surprising all-around performer which i often fit to my Leicas:
