Canonet 28 shutter shape

Hi everybody.. Long time lurker here. Anyway, I have a Canonet 28 with a sticky shutter.. That's a problem I will tackle another day. :bang: When I click the shutter down the blades form a strange shape. Almost like an upside down diamond shape. Is this normal?

In my amazement I forgot to post a follow up question.. So when I change the apperture this diamond will get bigger or smaller depending on the apperture? And when I hold the shutter button down it take longer for the blades to close again. Is this problem larger than just sticky blades?
