Hello

Further to my earlier thread about my mintish Canonet,I put a new battery in and pressed the check button which duly lit up.
However the meter needle is not moving on the scale despite altering film speed settings, shutter speeds and apertures.
Am I doing something really stupid here or is it a faulty meter which I find hard to believe as the camera is nearly new.

Thankyou

Keep the aperture ring at 'A' - and make sure you point it at differencing levels of light, or cover the lens with your hand, etc

It does not metering in 'manual', when you set both the shutter speed and the aperture values.

New? The last Canonet was made around 1972' ish, so is at least 37 years old ....
