Canonet QL17 G-III front element removal?

Hello Repair Guru's 🙂

I picked up a Canonet this morning with a stuck shutter. I am trying to get the front elements out to drip some lighter fluid onto the shutter blades. I am able to get the first element off easily but am stuck as to how to remove the next piece of glass. Is it just a friction fit or is there another retaining ring that I've overlooked?
