Canonet ql17 gIII- Sticking self timer

Can someone help me? i'm new in the forum.
i've been collecting rangefiners for a while, and finally got my 1st Canonet GIII QL17 off eBay today. i loaded and shot a few frames, getting the feel of it, then decided to see if the self timer worked. NOW... it's stuck, won't budge, and i am afraid to try any of the remedies i've read on here, as i am not a DIY type.
Can someone recommend a good and reasonable repairman.
