canonrangefinder.com coming back

Great to have this resource back on line. So far, it's just the lenses, but what a treasure trove of information. The book will be even better, and I'm hoping our wait will be over soon. At least before M/S gives us Vista..... 😀 😀

HI Harry and others

All articles have been proof-read and have just been double checked by myself for the umpteenth time. Photos have all been taken except a few I am waiting from OS to arrive ( if they don't get here so be it) and all have been spotted on Photoshop and resized to fit into the required boxes. This alone has taken me 6 months. I am in the throws of double checking all my charts and checking each individual lens I own with what I have recorded in the charts (already found a few glaring errors). Layout design has been finalised and once the charts have been checked it will be a matter of placing the pics into there allotted positions.

Very easy to say but BOY never realised the amount of work involved when self publishing, still it is a learning curve. Have an idea for the cover and will be working on that in the next week or two. OH by the way the size of the book will be 210mm x 270mm, approx 250+ pages and about 330 pics.

Back to checking.........Peter K

Peter, it will all be worth it when you open the first box of books. We will certainly appreciate it. I haven't forgotten, and will try to get something out to you before the weekend.

Good luck on the book, lots of work! It may not always be done in self-publishing, but I'd urge a editor to make sure it "reads" well, and/or at least a good proof-reader to catch errors like there/their and throws/throes that won't be caught by spell-check software. 🙂
