I've just brought this scanner, and unfortunately, in all the scan, not matter negative and positive, the scan results always comes with tons of artifacts spreading along the whole frame. I am sure it is the dust or dirt but produced by the scanner.
Does anyone come across the same problem? I tried to check out in flickr to see other example but seems it is not typical for the 8800F. I will contact Canon service tomorrow of course, but let's see the gens here have any thought. Thanks in advance.
Attached here cropped examples.

My scanner did this as well, you need to clean tha clas both the big one and the small one.
If you usa a flaslight ore a lamp and light up the glas on youre scanner you can see these small dots on the glas.
