Hi,
I see the numbers but nothing happens when I click on them but a reload of the same page. :bang:

I just noticed the same thing in the sponsor section of the classifieds.

I'm bumping this up - I'd like to list some items for sale, but don't really like the thought of paying to place ads that no one can access. This happens on all classifieds sections, and is independent of number of ads per page. You can see that the pagination links have URLs ending in '/page/{numeral}' but even manually hacking the URL doesn't work - I'm guessing the server is redirecting?

Yep. I see this same thing on a macbook running Safari or Chrome, as well as a Win7 desktop with FireFox or IE.

Please explain in another manner -
I don't understand.

Confirmed, in Chrome and Safari, it is impossible to go to page 2 from page 1 --- etc.

Say I start at the Lenses page... http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost-classifieds/showcat.php/cat/2
...and I'm loading 12 ads per page (I think that is the default)
I scroll down to the bottom, past the last ad (currently lenses from flyingpalm)
The pagination links are just past the last ad: Page 1 . 2 . 3 . 4
If I hover over "3," for example, I see that the URL it is linking to is "http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost-classifieds/showcat.php/cat/2/page/3" - which looks correct. However, clicking it, or entering that link directly in my browser, eventually loads http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost-classifieds/showcat.php/cat/2 again.
BTW I am a web developer by trade; the cross-browser consistency of this behavior and other clues pretty much confirm that this is a server-side issue, independent of user's computer and software. Probably a bug in the Forum software.

One further note - The pagination works in the main forums - it is only broken in the classifieds. Both are running vBulletin® Version 3.6.8, but the classifieds runs on an additional "Photopost Classifieds" software layer. If this was my site to fix, I'd probably start by contacting the Photopost vender...

I've noticed this problem in very long forum threads, as well; you sometimes can't load the last few pages, and instead, when you click next or the page number, you get redirected back to the page you're already on.

Indeed, and even if you load that next page in a new window, the correct URL will appear then you will be redirected back to the original page.
A bug.
Thanks, I will double check with my tech,
but at the moment I think the pages after 1 are a false flag -
taken up by old expired ads in the data base

I thought of that, too, but - starting again at Lenses and 12 ads per page, with the last being flyingpalm's, if I then switch to 24 ads per page, I get 24 ads, the last 12 of which are not obviously expired to my eye, and the pagination changes (as one would expect) from "Page 1 . 2 . 3 . 4" to "Page 1 . 2" - and still doesn't work. Are the last 12 indeed expired?
BTW please don't be afraid to tell me to give it a rest! I do this stuff all day wearing my support hat...

Might be, but still confusing to users. Should be fixed if possible.

This problem persists. In lenses, my ad is 24th in line. Therefore, if someone places one more lens ad, mine will disappear. And I just renewed it!

I've noticed the same problem. Say I want to look at 35mm lenses and there are 2 pages. I can never get to page 2. Only page 1 appears when clicking on page 2.

I also noticed this bug 2 months ago, it was not (and apparently still isn't) possible to see more than one page (24 items) in the browser. I couldn't find a lens ad I was interested in as soon as it became number 25 in the list. I know it was still on the server though because when I found my previously saved bookmark with the direct link to the ad of this specific lens it was possible to access this lens ad.

As an advertiser, it's worrisome because the holiday shopping season is slipping away!

Totally agree. And it's not good for the forum owner either, I actually refrained from placing an ad here because of this issue.

...and sure enough, it did slip away, and my ad was invisible most of the time. When will this be fixed???As an advertiser, it's worrisome because the holiday shopping season is slipping away!

Yep. One page only and it has been for long time. Kind of inappropriate for paid service.
