Can't upload photos ... Mods have been alerted...

There's some issues here today ... the forum has gone off line a couple of times and now it refuses to upload to the gallery. Anyone else having problems?

The file size is around 300kb and I haven't maxed out my daily allowance.

I always wondered why if there is a size limit on photos, don't the operators set the upload script to automatically resize/recompress the submitted photo to the appropriate maximum

it would save a lot of user time and convenience

There is some issue with uploading pictures in the Classifieds - the forum software says it can't move the temp file. You also can't delete the selected photos that are hanging up the ad.

What's up with that?

Size of the picture doesn't matter. It choked on a 16k file.

the problem is confirmed to be on the hosting level
it should be corrected in a few hours
I will update in this thread when you can upload pics again

things are good to go, upload pics

an event at the hosting company changed the jpg volume from read/write to read only -
so no pics could be uploaded.

I am sorry for everyone's inconvenience.
