hey...

so i got a truckload of slides, and I don't really know where to develop them- Walmart and costco don't do slides, Loblaws does but they gave me a wonky 25-cents-per-frame price and thus probably don't know what I'm saying, blah blah...

so where do YOU GUYS send your slides for development? how are the results? what was the cost? that's a biggie for me, I like slides but I'm not so excited about paying $150 or so to get my vacation images developed...

cheers!

Hang onto your hat, I have a suspicion that it won't be cheap anywhere these days. Best of luck though.

Here in Vancouver, I get it done at London Drugs or Kerrisdale Cameras, all very close to home. It has been around six months since I had slides done. It cost about CAD 10. Hope somebody from the Ottawa area will respond soon.

I live in the Yukon and there is nobody here who processes slide film so I send everything down to G King in Vancouver. It's about $8.50 for a roll of 36exp to get mounted. I've had great results and they have very friendly staff.

The only place I know of in Ottawa is GPC labworks on Bank. They're not cheap though... 12.00 for a roll of mounted slides.

It cannot be that bad! Even in sleepy St. John's a local pro shop still processes E6. Its quite expensive though, so I save mine up and bring them to Shanghai to be processed around $3 CDN per roll unmounted.

Lots of pro labs here in Vancouver. The Lab, G King, Custom Color, ABC.
Look any of them up and check prices. I've had good results from all of them. I currently use Custom Color because their location is convenient to me, and I like how they broke away from Lens and Shutter!

thanks for the replies!

oho. G King looks good, might mail it to them if that's cheaper in the end.
