cap and filter size! Please help!

I did buy a Leica's Elmarit-M 28mm lens made in Canada. Serial number 3168869.

Can anyone tell me wich size of cap and filter goes on that????

Mine uses the E49 front cap but depending on which version you have it could be 48mm or 49mm.

If your lens has a chrome screw on the side of the lens near the front it uses a twist-on hood.
