Cap for X-sync PC terminal

Today I lost the tiny black cap that covered the PC terminal on my Rollei 35 RF. Does anyone know how sensitive this socket is to dust etc? Should I try to get/make some sort of replacement or just forget about it? Not used a studio flash to date but who knows in the future....

Lost the cap on my R2A first week I had it. Oh well. I'm not worrying about it.

Completely unimportant. Don't worry. The sensitive bit is the connector that goes ONTO the PC nipple -- they get trodden on, dropped, knocked against things and sometimes just refuse to work for no apparent reason.

They usually get lost within a few weeks, Leica sell expensive replacements, but I wouldnt bother. If you are desperate to replace it, the bottom plug of some BIC pens fit!
