cap size over "heavystar" shade?

Howdy all!

For those of you who know what I am talking about when I refer to the vented metal hoods that "heavystar" on ebay sells for the 39mm filter thread, does anyone know what size cap would fit on the shade?

Right now I have the purple plastic lid to a tube of cat treats on there!

I've been thinking about getting one of those exact hoods. What lens do you have it on? I'm thinking of getting one for a CV 35mm f2.5.

A DR summicron. It's a great shade.

i got one of those on my jupiter 3, the cap size is 55mm

I've got one on a cv35/2.5 classic. works great. cap size is 55mm.
