Caps, hood, and Filters for DR 'cron?

Can someone tell me the correct Leica hood for the DR 'cron? Date important?--'58. Filter size is 39mm--right? What size push on cap would I need? Finally, any aftermarket seller who's caps and hood you like better--prefer original, but if too expensive I'd use aftermarket.

The "correct" hood is the IROAA.

But you might prefer the more modern 12585 or variants thereof. These hoods can be reversed and have a special slotted cap, when reversed.

The lens is E39. The cap's inside diameter is 42mm or so (there is a felt ring on the originals).

You can buy cheap 39mm or 42mm non-Leica lens caps, even with a Leica logo on them 🙂

Heavystar sells both vented and non-vented hoods that you can use. There is a small W-39mm hood that I like particularly.
