If you are looking to buy one, save yourself $40 or so and get the Voightlander LH6 lens hood vice the Zeiss product. I believe they are clones of each other but the Voightlander branded version is much cheaper.

By the way, I have one and it is my favorite travel lens due to its size. Reid Reviews rates it the best 35mm made.

^ can confirm. Voigtlander hoods DO fit on Biogon 35 F2. I've interchanged a voigtlander 35 1.4 hood on my biogon 35F2 and vice versa with my zeiss hood.

There is only one version of the ZM 35/2.8, and it is known as the C Biogon. C stands for "compact" in this case. Zeiss currently makes the 35/2.8 C Biogon, 35/2 Biogon, and 35/1.4 Distagon in this focal length.

I too rave about my 35/2.8 C-Biogon. The only lens that may best it is its big brother, the 35/1.4 Distagon. I made the mistake of renting it which lead to buying it. Agree that it's an awesome travel lens. Love how it balances on the M bodies.

Didn't know about the lens hood. Would have saved me a few £. 😡
Add my name to the 35C admirers. Save for the stop of light and the 43mm filter thread, it is superior to my 35 Summicron ASPH; no visible focus shift, flatter find and sharp into the corners..
