the Zeiss 85/2 MiG may never come back but I would like to see some sort of faster Japanese made telephoto from them.
I mean, for what it is the 100 MP is a very reasonably priced lens. Is there a reason a similar planar design could not be brought down to 90mm and a MFD of .7m? And because it would be an RF lens the front element wouldnt have to be non-rotational. I would think that given that you no longer need to accommodate those needs the lens could be priced the same as some of the more expensive ZM options, right?

They already have such wonderful ZM lenses (I have the 18 f4, 21 f2.8, 25 f2.8, 35 Biogon f2.8C, 50 Sonnar f1.5-C and 50 Planar f2). I wish they would make a full frame digital Ikon i could buy as a second M9. With coding for ZM lenses.
