Carl Zeiss Werramatic 1966

Lovely! Same as my first Werra, though mine lacked the hood and lens cap, had lost the tiny black tabs that facilitate aperture/speed changes, and was stiff to focus. Plus the TTL metering with its upside-down T was hard for me to get comfortable with.

I now have a black Werra III (in the bag today) that is smooth in all operation, has all its black tabs--and though it too lacks the hood and cap, I'm happier with the match-needle metering.

Glad to hear you've had success with the Werra, I bought 2 as collector's items but neither of them work very well. Both have issues with the shutter mechanism, and I am not skilled enough to repair it.

The Zeiss tessar lens is simple but an effective design. Good sample photos!

Jan : I had a look at your 'link' to the Werramatic photos -- thanks ! At the moment it is 'resting' !
