Perhaps some of you could suggest a case in which my new (to me) II with collapsable Elmar could reside?

The original is just too far gone, and beside that, I really don't like a camera swinging around my neck. Being a minimallist, I'd really like a small leather case (no accessory storage) with a belt loop/clip that fits the camera snugly.

Oh, as a retiree, a Luigi type expedature is not possible. Anyone seen such an animal? The number of models and manufacturers is overwhelming. Perhaps someone familiar could narrow down the Zhou/RF Forum cases that would fill the bill?

Thanks for the time!

edit: I just looked at the RFF zhou cases, and they're a traditional lower ever-ready type, not exactly what I want. An internet search for Zhou cases produced a dizzying number of possible sizes/types. I guess I'm looking for a pouch type case that'll ride on my belt, if that gives you any more idea of the desire.

If you can find one, I think the Zorki-1 cases should fit ? I had the rivets replaced with poppers so I can use just the bottom half when shooting, as that is more convenient in use. And I suspect that an entire Zorki-1 including the case will be cheaper than buying a brand new case....

EDIT: Ooops, I see that you want a belt pouch rather than an "e.r.c" design. My apologies. There are loads of nylon cases like that, but I have not seen a handsome one in leather yet.

Hello, Jolefler: I found the perfect case on clearance sale. It's a Lowepro, "Milano" model if memory serves me. It's black leather, just big enough for a Barnack with a wide angle or collapsible 50mm with accesory viewfinder, has a thin compartment in front which is just big enough for a spare filter and light meter. It came with a shoulder strap, but also has a loop for attaching to a belt. Price was around $50. I'm not sure if Lowepro offer this model anymore...

Good luck, David

I have one by Antler, in leather with velvet lining and flip-over top and belt loop that means the camera is held horizontal ready to use. It comfortably takes the body + collapsed Elmar or CV pancake lens.

I'm afraid I don't have the model no, but got mine on sale for the equivalent of $10. I think it is probably designed for a digithing.
