That is seriously cool, and the 12mm gave you a lot better results than I would have expected! While I find the idea of the lens interesting, I'm not sure how much I would actually use one.

Julien, Nice photos.

So, do you like the 12mm lens? How do you like its build quality? Are you happy with its imaging quality?

Thanks for your comments!

@scorpiuse73 Go for it. It's a great lens for architecture and landscapes. It's well worth having one! On the other hand, it might take a few rolls to get use to it.

@Vick I really like the 12mm. The build quality is superb (better than the 15mm). The lens feels solid and it is very compact. As for the imaging quality, it is not flawless, the corners are kinda soft, it flares rather easily (but I like the way it does), but hey, it's 12mm! If I really need high imaging quality, I use the 17-35mm. But for travelling, the 12mm is perfect! I love it.

Catacomb pictures could not be so nice with any other lens indeed. I liked them.

I am trying to pick between CV12 and CV15. Here are the info I gathered
Distorsion: 15 is better, 12 is close second
Sharpness: 15 is better however I have seen a couple of posts swearing 12 is sharper !!?
Vignetting: 12 is definitely nicer and cyan shift should then be lower as well?

Well, I would get the 15mm due to its milder wide FOV on R-D1 and perfect distorsion control unless it was not so vignetting (I know PhotoRaw can handle it). Now I am thinking of a 12 due to its less vignetting and interesting 18 mm wide coverage but I fear the distorsion, I want that latter tobe very good if not perfect.
