Catalina Flying Boat

On 12 May 1944 a Catalina Flying Boat crashed on the Hebridean island of Vatersay killing 3 of its 9 crew. The remains of the aircraft lie beside the road to this day, together with a small memorial to the men who crewed the craft that fateful day.
