CatLABS finally decided that it’s not worth their time or money to develop a new peel-apart instant film like the recently discontinued Fuji products (FP-100C).
"Alas, despite having spent the better part of two years working on this, and what we feel was our very best effort to take on this crazy challenge, we have decided to move away from this project and focus our efforts on other projects, where we feel our resources are better utilized."

sad news, but not unexpected. Look at the demise of New 55. Just not enough sales to churn the gears. I am very glad I immersed myself in peel apart film for many years when it was available. Loved the Sepia toned 4x5 pack film. All of it...was a glorious experience...Positive Negative, developing in my PN bucket on the street while shooting. Was so much fun. Thank you Polaroid!

OK, I really panicked when I first read the title of this thread. Glad to hear that CatLABS is not packing *everything* in. I love them--they set me up with a sweet 4x5 kit, and were great to deal with.
I'm sorry, however, to hear that they're abandoning their pack film project (but not surprised). I really hope someone else succeeds in reviving pack film. As my four-year-old daughter recently said when we were shooting together, she with her digital camera, I with my Land: "My camera's not as cool as yours." "Why?" "You can't peel the pictures!"

Sorry for the confusion. I was trying to be witty.....pack film.....packing it in..... but it didn't work. I tried to change the title of the thread, but apparently I can't. Whatever, their attempt at making pack film is over.
