I miss the British building quality - at least the old stuff. When I was little, my family lived in a 400 year old farmhouse on the moors, just outside the town of Hebden Bridge. . . Wuthering Heights territory . . . that house had walls more than a foot thick of solid, weathered stone. A cruise missile would have better luck knocking.
Homes here in the states. . . yuck. Paper. I can't get out of bed and make my way to the bathroom without the whole house screaming at me.
