Changing digi M lens metadata in Lightroom 3.3?

Quick Q...I have been manually "coding" lenses on the M9 with the drop-down list, and, for instance, use Noctilux f/1.2 for the Canon 50/1.2. This works great, but now the Noct is in my metadata, and I can't figure out how to manually change this in Library mode. I'd like to be able to select a bunch of pictures then change this for all of them. How's it done?

I had a quick look on LightroomForums.net as this question seemed to ring a bell. Best I could find though was ref's to exiftool which looks a bit geeky/scary to me. You might want to give it a look though, as it doesn't look like you can change lens data in LR itself, and you might have stronger nerves than me 😀
