Charleston!

Thanks, Faris!!!:)

I just cancelled our reservations in Charleston... The twice daily protest marches were causing angst even before we leave. So now we are smiling and planning a different direction!

Looking for a nice dinner with a beautiful view this evening. A Leica moment (X1) with no bulky camera distraction.

Enjoy the peaceful evening, the good dinner and a special glass of red wine...
robert
PS: opps, i guess you like red wine but maybe due to the temperature a white one could be more indicated :)

Hi, Robert,

In 1971, our honeymoon was in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We only a Kodak Instamatic. We left my Beetle home and took the yellow Toyota for the week long celebration. We have been back every year since then.

A red wine with our steak dinner. Yeah, that will work in moderation due to stroke complications. So, it is the mountains for us!

Might even stop in at the Moonshine distillery for some bluegrass music! LOL...

Dave sorry things didn't workout for Charleston. You might consider Savannah. It's every bit as nice.

Another alternative if you like nature and don't want to travel far. My wife and I discovered it by accident traveling home from Atlanta on back roads. http://gastateparks.org/AmicalolaFalls
It's reasonably priced, very close to Dehloniga which is a very cool historic town and the Lodge and falls are easy to access in a wheelchair. Dehloniga was the site of the first large gold strike in the US before the California gold rush. Check out Amicalola Falls and lodge and Dehloniga GA.

My wife and I have stayed at the lodge several times just to get away for a couple of days.
