Cheap Government surplus sales - Heads Up

I like the category....Crash Tested Vehicles. What would you do with those. :p

You have to give an awful lot of personal info to register to bid. With identity theft on the rise I don't even like to give my SSN to a government agency

I once bid on ebay and won an auction for some photo gear from the State of Oregon. A very big box of gear did arrive, but the items were common ones, and in worse shape than was stated and shown on the auction. I got rid of the whole lot, which reminded me of my friend's motto "Cheap is Cheap". I really should have known better, as I had been familiar with some government owned and used camera gear in my previous life. Gov't agencies don't treat equipment well, and they only get rid of it when it's not useful any longer...No real deals there, be very careful.

You might luck out at the Goodwill Stores website. These government surplus sites aren't as rosy as you may believe.
