Cheap large format projector!!!

Hey fellow Addicts,

I have just got back my first roll of 6x9cm slides, and I am excited!!!

I want to see them projected onto the entire living room wall.

My idea is to build my own projector, will it be ok with a medium or large format enlarger lens?

Do I need to build a condenser as well for the lightsource?

It's snowing here in London and that's totally unusual.

This way I could project my XPan slides too.

The snow is now rain.

I wonder if you could figure out how to use a D11 enlarger head and some sort of telephoto lens.

Tnaks for your ideas.

My next question is what focus length do I need for a decently sized projection using 6x7 or 6x9 slides? If I am going to use it in my living room, so probably a couple of meters from the screen.

I think I am going to build one from scratch using enlarger parts, I want it to look great a nice neat black matte paited aluminium box with a fole for the lens and such.
