Get onto eBay, and have a look for "Helios" finders and other cheap/old ones, all you need is roughly the correct focal length, and it'll be fine.

Can't recommend the Helios, its framelines are highly inaccurate.
Try and get the VF-1 used. I bought (and sold) mine for 50 €. Works well with the 17/2.8 as well as the 20/1.7.

Make a sports finder out of a cereal packet. It will do the same/better job as the vf-1 and it won't cost you anything.

You will need scissors and glue.

Save a hundred bucks, enjoy a lifetime of displeasure!

Available on eBay, new but bulk packaged, for around $50 incl. shipping from several Korean sellers. Can't vouch for them, of course.
