I just snagged a dented working one for $400. Or I hope it is working.

Nah. Got a pair of working M3s with a 50 Sumarit and a 35 Sumaron for about $1000 in 1994. Otherwise, I have been the used market's b^tch.

I got an M7 kit about 3 years ago off Leica forum for $800. After selling off the motor, flashes and other goodies, the M7 netted to about $275...

I got an M3 with an Elmar 50, and also a 135 Elmar if I'm not mistaken, for $250 maybe six years ago. I've since traded the body but have the lenses.

I can tell you the cheapest was definitely NOT my M8.

I think I got my M5 and M4P for $575 (each). I once bought a used S2 w/50 1.4 for $15 and a used S for $10.
