Hmmm, those painted over rivets on the back are a bit suspect, but the serial number does fall within a known range of genuine black S2s (according to Rotoloni's latest book).

the serial number does appear to be in the range for a black paint chrome dial camera . the rivets on the black paint s2 unlike the black paint s3 or sp are painted black . the pictures are not easy for me to see , are the rivets chrome painted black ?
the screws holding the front plate on should be black on the early camera , they are chrome on this one .
the paint looks too new , perhaps a repaint of an original black camera .

I wonder if another domain than collectible cameras exists where new paint values just paint while old crackled and scuffed out paint values its weight as gold dust...
