Check out my new publication....

A lot of effort involved in producing a Blurb book.
You must have learnt a lot about book production in the process - things you would do differently next time. Did the full blead double page spreads come out as effectively as you expected? Personally, and it is only that, I might have been inclined to leave a white gutter space on one or both pages. But perhaps you tried that and it didn't work - just something that struck me going through the book carefully. It's only my reaction - and what do I know about anything - ask my wife! LOL
Wish I had taken some of those photos!

Thanks Jesse. I appreciate your comments. This actually the fourth Blurb I've done, but this one is for myself about a specific project. Something of a portfolio to take around. The others were of my young son for the grandparents.

Yes, I've learned quite a bit. Putting images together for a book is very much the same and different then putting images together in a portfolio. I was very concerned with the flow, but left it up to chronological chance. I also wanted to play with the layout. Having everything the same size and placement on sequential pages can be boring. Breaking up the placement helps break any boredom in the viewer. (I hope!) Luckily the images that were full bleed lent themselves to the cropping without losing anything important.

I have a couple more planned. I am just waiting for these to arrive in the mail!

Thanks again!

Keith - sent you a pm.

I think as a 'portfolio' your book works pretty well.
Chronological order for the photos makes a lot of sense in that context.
