Checking out a Mamiya 7ii kit

A Mamiya 7ii kit popped up nearby on Craigslist with the 65mm lens and the 150mm lens. What's a reasonable price for this setup and is there anything specific I should look at if I go look at the camera?
 
In the uk that set up would probably ba around £1500 if it is in mint condition. Make sure you check the plastic twist grip thing on the bottom of the camera that operates the shutter curtain. This is an area of weakness, also the battery cover is easily broken.

It is the best camera ever made . . .
 
^ The extra speed is easily dismissed after you check the results . It's a tool that allows for some rather slow shutter speeds also . Contact me before you buy . Peter
 
I often saw and looked, M7 kits with the 80mm hover at the 1000€ mark minimum.

For what I heard, the Mamiya 7 system has one of the sharpest lenses in Medium format realm. No 3,5 or 2,8 here but it's made up for high resolution. Then there's the issue of focusing a f2,8 with thin DoF wide open.

I'd love one. The Mamiya RFs have not dropped dramatically in price compared to many Mf systems!

How does one check the plastic twist grip thing on the bottom?

Thanks for the thoughts and Peter I sent you a PM. The speed doesn't really bother me. This would replace my Bronica SQA system so I am losing a stop of speed, but I feel like I'm more than making up for it in handling.

You'll know if it's broken. It will literally be in pieces. When I bought mine, I got it for a stupid cheap price because it had a broken crank. So I replaced it with a brass handle instead which will never break. I still regret selling that camera. Pretty much every single day.
 
Anything less than $1900 is a decent deal. These cameras are so great. The Mamiya 7 was one camera I have serious sellers remorse over.
 
Thanks for all the comments, unfortunately I had to let it pass. It was a good deal, but after sleeping on it for a few nights I realized that it just isn't the right time for the purchase.
