Ana’s Photographic Kitchen has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for the first production of Ana's Photographic Cooking Kit, and for developing an educational kit for schools.
Ana’s Photographic Cooking Kit is a kit for effortless photographic darkroom experience at home. It is based on a new photographic process called Anatype™. This method enables darkroom processing using solely edible ingredients. With it, you can develop silver gelatin paper in a clear solution in less than an hour.
The aim of our product is to introduce analog photography and darkroom techniques to those who are unfamiliar with it, so that the analog photographic field will grow and be preserved.
Contribution and/or by promotion of the campaign would be much appreciated.

They're promoting it as being "darkroom free", so that precludes prints of 35mm negatives. You can also "watch the image as it appears". Been there and done that.

At least it could get kids interested, and if it did help keep analogue photography alive then that would be good.

There's a big jump, though, from processing these photograms, and processing and printing photographs.

@johnf04, Yes I know there is, but not many kids will be able to process film and print photos, this'll be the nearest most of them will get for years, but if they've got the idea of making images appear on paper then they may want to get into it later.
Of course there's also the teens and the adults who may just give it a go and 'get the bug'.

Well, I hope it will get kids interested but I just wish they hadn't talked about chemical free, especially when they are using Citric, Acetic and Ascorbic Acids etc to process the shadow graph or shadow gram...

Teach them the basics of photography first and put the darkroom aside. By any means it is not for kids (not just for the chemicals that you cannot do without, e.g. fixer).
