While I do not usually make street photos of kids, for obvious reasons these in these hyper sensitive times, this little fellow's dad was present and was happy for me to take the shot.

January 2019 - a local train... single track, two cars, one staff, south of Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture. We got to talking and I asked if I could take their photo...
The mom asked if she could take a photo of the two of us... no problem, and to my surprise she requested my camera - Nikon F3P w/ AI-s 50 mm f/1.2 ... Her: "wow that's heavy !" Me: "it's manual focus..."
Very nice photos and very good story about! Thanks for sharing!
^^ your timing was perfect, Pan - another great shot.

Thanks Pan, the fires are apocalyptic, thousands being evacuated with help from Defence forces, death toll rising, over 1,000 houses burnt out, an area the size of Belgium burnt but worse to come. My part of Sydney unaffected but the smoke can get pretty bad depending on the wind direction. Even New Zealand has been blanketed by the smoke.I hope you are doing well, the bush fires are constantly on the news up here.
