Hello everyone,
I traveled throughout China for a month with a M8 and 28/50mm lenses. You can view the images on my website www.gilleslorin.com and click on the icon 'Across China'.
Thanks for looking, and wishing you all Happy holidays!

Nice architecture shots in the beginning there, I also like the one with the boat and pagoda in the background. Some nice calm colors there. Which 28/50's are you using?

Sorry for not getting back to the forum earlier... busy schedule... Indeed I used a 28mm ultron and a 50 lux pre ASPH; how did you guess Digitalintrigue?!?

I had a great time in China, the scenery is wonderful, the people lovely and very hospitable, and the food, except for certain delicacies..., is excellent. I will be heading out there for another 3 to 4 weeks next spring, with hope of crossing over to Tibet.

Gilles,

Your photography of China is magnificent. The manner in which you portray the
country produces a very calm and sedate feeling. I thought your selections were beneficial for the viewer due to the wide range of subjects. I'm sure you can tell interesting stories about each photo. Thanks so much.

Gary,

Thank you very much for your kind and constructive comments! Such comments is always very helpful and helps me understand how viewers perceive my images. In one month time, I took many photographs, and I like about 80 to 90 of them, but I felt it was too much for a portfolio and made a careful selection over several weeks of only the images that spoke the most to me. The next step will be to print these on fine art paper for archiving, which I will outsource. You are right, I should write short captions below each image; some of them have a story.

Thanks again,

Gilles
