It'll be hit and miss but a lot of branded stuff is most likely built in the same factory as the Chinese/ no name stuff.
There is also the problem that unscrupulous factories will make the brand name item during the day, then continue to make it, without the logo, at night. Happens especially with clothes, but could happen with camera accessories as well.
I try to avoid this obvious unethical situation.

The quality varies, I get small things like lens caps and so on and the vented hoods because the alternative is paying through the nose. I've bought some bits that were rubbish and binned immediately. Nowadays I'm happier buying from dealers here but sometimes the goods still arrive weeks late from China direct in the post...
My experience has been very good. Both on quality and on quick inexpensive shipping.

Talking of ethics, I wonder how much the big makers could charge for their small bits and pieces made in China knowing what the Chinese charge us for them...

Some well-known products are indeed assembled in China, so I also don't hesitate to buy goods from Alibaba or Taobao because at low prices I get pretty good quality. The only problem is that you have to find a trusted seller in the marketplace and cooperate with importers in your country.

This topic goes awkward when respected Chinese manufacturers emerge, especially so when it comes to gimbals...

I bought a 21/1.5 TTArtisan recently in M-mount. They have this focus calibration system which does nothing but the lens works well on my Sony A7 with adapter also. I would not want to spend much more money on such an exotic lens.

Every iPhone is made in China. Nearly every Mac.
They are capable of quality when they deem it necessary, very much like the Soviet Union and their space program. Just don't expect consistency. It's still the Wild East there (apologies to those überWoke here, take a deep breath...)
