Chinese Metal Vented Lens Hood

I have a few of them for my Nikons. The thread binds a little but soon smoothed out, the metal is thicker and the anodized finish looks fine...until prolonged (months of unuse) exposure to the sun. The sun facing side of one hood turned copper coloured, as if the black finish was bleached out. Well, you got what you paid for.

In any case, they make 39mm thread standard and wide-angle hoods. Should function well for assorted Leica and Voigtlander lenses.

The B+W 900 lens hood series, the only that show a threated 39 mm version, is a normal collapsible rubber lens hood, not vented.
The only 39 mm metal vented lens hood, actually produced and selled, are the chinese model Heavy Star 2 or Buyitnow (both selled on E-Bay). The alternatives are only in the second bargain market; the original Leica 12585, 12585 H, 12586 (metal) and 12538 (the 12585 plastic counterpart) or not original Walz, Hoya or Kenko. All of these are quite hard to find.
Ciao.
