Chinese panoramic conversion kits?

Has anyone tried one of these:

I ordered a Fuji 6x9 one, but I was thinking it would be more practical to mount in a detachable roll holder like Horseman.

Anyone know how to place the film gate mask? Do you use the 120 or 220 setting on the pressure plate?

Well if I had a Fuji 6x7, I'd have an order in for the P67 in no time. 24x66 sounds like my kind of image size.

For 6x9 cameras, it's 24x80, which is a weird 3.3:1. The Mamiya 50mm viewfinder for the 7 has panoramic marks, but I guess we'll be getting a lot of extra with the Fujinon 50....

Subscribed to this thread. I just acquired a Pentax 6x7, and been interested in these conversion kits for shooting panoramas using 35mm film. I watched a few videos on YouTube, and for the Pentax 6x7, I believe you set the pressure plate to the 220 setting. Not sure if the same applies for Fuji cameras.

I'm confused here. I've checked the listing and they talk about a 45mm lens doing just fine. Are we talking Fuji 690, for which I am unaware of a 45mm lens option. Further, they show two masks, one for the film gate, another for the viewfinder. While I get the viewfinder for the Pentax67, I'm not getting it for the Texas Leica.
Am I ignoring a different Fuji 6x9?

No - they just cut and pasted the Pentax 6x7 description (P67 has a 45mm lens) for a different sized unit for Fuji (which only has 50, 65, 100, 150, and 180mm lenses). I assume they measured a Fuji film gate, since they came up with 24x80 instead of 24x66. Still seems like 80mm might be big for a Fuji, which I think is 56x84mm total gate size. We'll see...

Thanks, Dante. I had come to that conclusion myself after posting. Can only attribute my slowness to a large lunch or an inherited defect.

Would this also work in the later Fuji 6x9 cameras like the gs690 III? In most of them the film counter mechanism uses the backing paper to get the right spacing I think.

My negatives were a lot closer to 80 mm than they were to 84 mm , at least on my
GL690 . Looking forward to seeing your photos ( you know you're going to buy it )

Hey Peter/Moto - how did you get the film counter to advance? The film rolls right past the film counter. I ended up wrapping the center of the film counter drum with electrical tape; am probably going to try to change that to two small grip strips near the film sprockets.

^ Sorry for the slow response , been on a vacation trip ( sounds kinda strange , being retired now ). I should have mentioned in my response that I was only remarking on the size of the negatives that I got while shooting 120 film on the GL690 , sorry about that . Peter
